Costco Favorites Recommendation
Sharing some of my all-time favorite Costco finds—items I repurchase regularly and always keep in my kitchen to elevate everyday cooking.
In the past two years, I’ve come to realize how great Costco’s product selection is. Most items have clean ingredient lists with minimal additives, or simply taste amazing and are of great quality. I used to shop at Costco once every month or two, but now I go almost every week. Over time, I’ve discovered a few delicious and practical gems that I truly feel are worth broadcasting to my entire friend circle.
These items aren’t exclusive to Costco—you can also find them at other supermarkets or online—but Costco usually offers better value for the price.
PBfit Peanut Butter Powder
Peanut butter powder that turns into peanut butter by simply mixing with water.
This solves the common problem of natural peanut butter drying out and becoming hard to spread after opening. PBfit is lightly seasoned with a hint of sweet and salty flavor, which I find absolutely delicious. The ingredient list is clean—just peanuts, sugar, and salt—with no added chemicals. Since the peanuts are defatted, the powder is low-fat, low-calorie, and high-protein. Each tablespoon (8g) contains 4g of protein and only 35 calories. It’s a perfect option for peanut butter lovers who are watching their calorie intake.
The powder is also incredibly versatile. I use it as regular peanut butter on toast, but also as a thickener for sauces. Mixed with some low-cal sauces, it becomes a delicious dressing for shredded chicken or salad—healthy and flavorful. I also add two spoonfuls to smoothies for extra protein and a rich nutty aroma that enhances the flavor.
Better Than Bouillon
Rich and natural-tasting concentrated broth base.
Its texture is more like a thick paste, unlike the common powder or bouillon cubes. In terms of taste, I find it far better than the typical KNORR cubes—much more savory and natural. It comes in chicken, beef, and vegetable varieties. I haven’t tried the vegetable one, but between the chicken and beef, I prefer the chicken broth, which is lighter in flavor. That said, both are great.
It’s incredibly easy to use. The lid even lists a suggested dilution ratio: 1 teaspoon per 284g (1 cup) of broth. When cooking, I usually dissolve it in water before adding, but for soups I just toss it directly into the pot. Even beginner cooks can make delicious dishes using this broth. Keep a jar in the fridge and you’ll never worry about running out of stock again.
DOM RESERVE Frozen Poke
Pre-seasoned, sashimi-grade frozen fish cubes.
Each box contains five individually packed servings. Just soak in cold water for 15 minutes to defrost. While defrosting, prep some extras like mango chunks, shrimp, corn, or edamame. If you have cooked rice ready, you can whip up a tasty poke bowl in under 20 minutes—super convenient. The frozen format makes it perfect to stock up in the freezer for quick meals or emergencies.
Available in salmon and tuna options. The salmon is richer and higher in calories, but has a more indulgent texture. The tuna is lower in calories and higher in protein. I love both and have repurchased dozens of boxes.
